Violin Sonatas (and more!) at the Redwood Library and Athenaeum

The Newport String Project returns to the Redwood Library for a dynamic program of works for violin and piano.
From ebullient sonatas by Mozart and Prokofiev to the unabashedly romantic world of American composer Amy Beach, this concert promises to bring listeners on a compelling journey through eclectic musical landscapes. In keeping with the literary surroundings of the afternoon’s concert, the program also features Telemann’s irresistibly whimsical Suite for Two Violins which was inspired by Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels.

Newport String Project Directors and resident violinists EmmaLee Holmes-Hicks and Ealain McMullin will be joined by guest pianist Daniel Sedgwick.
